In my pantry

In talking to people who are trying to change to a healthier diet, some frustration arises as to where to start.  Today I'll be talking about some things in my pantry that I use that replace other not so healthy items.

To start with, I've replaced my wheat-free soy sauce with coconut aminos.  There is a lot of talk about soy products not being so good for you (read this article), so the coconut aminos have been a good alternative for me.  I use it in recipes, and as a seasoning on things such as rice.

The next item I'll share with you is a substitute for butter.  The best 2 items for cooking are Ghee or Coconut oil.   I actually like to purchase the coconut oil by the gallon here (virgin unrefined!!)
